Operating Systems
This course is designed to provide students with the skills
and knowledge necessary to install and configure Windows
XP Professional on stand-alone computers that are part
of a workgroup or domain. In addition, this course enables
the students to optimize performance and implement disaster
protection.
Operating
System Support Skills
This course is designed to give students a complete understanding
of the skills and techniques required to install and support
Windows. Topics covered include: partitioning and formatting
hard disk drives; installing and configuring Windows;
creating, configuring, and using network and Internet
connections; and supporting and troubleshooting operating
systems and applications.
Network
Hardware Foundations
This course is designed to teach students the fundamentals
of the hardware devices that form the foundation of the
networks, Intranets, Extranets and Internet. The use and
application of bridges, routers and switches are covered,
switching techniques and communication protocols.
Implementing
a Secure Server I
This course provides students with the skills and knowledge
necessary to install and configure Windows Server on computers
that are part of a workgroup or domain. In addition, this
course enables the students to install and configure Windows
Server to create file, print, web, and terminal servers,
and implement disaster protection.
Implementing
a Secure Server II
This course is designed for students who will focus on
performing desktop and server installation and configuration
tasks, and network and operating system management tasks
in a Windows environment. The course deals with troubleshooting
tasks, hardware and software installations, configurations,
upgrades, and some network and system operations tasks.
Wireless Network Installation and Support
This course is designed to provide students with an understanding
of the wireless technologies associated with WLAN 802.11
standards, bridge topologies and applications. Students
will also learn how to configure WLAN products, including
access points, bridges, client devices and accessories.
Wireless Network Security
This course is designed to give students an understanding
of the security risks that exist when deploying wireless
networks. The course provides students with the knowledge
and skills to employ the methodologies and tools that
allow such risks to be mitigated, especially Cisco software
management utilities.
